Description
Beehive Management and Honeybee Diseases we will cover the essential tasks necessary to perform regular hive inspections. Learn how to assess the strength and health of a colony and its queen, check for various stages of honeybee development, prevent swarming, create splits, and identify, prevent and monitor for common honeybee diseases.
Hive Management and Diseases is the third of a four-part City of Edmonton/City of Leduc Beekeeping Certificate. This class can be applied towards the Beekeeping Certification Course.
Upon completion, registrants will have access to all class footage and resources mentioned in the course.
Format: 3 Hours. Classroom lecture with visuals and artifacts.
Prerequisite: Beekeeping 2: Getting Starting in Beekeeping
Location: Online via Zoom
